The Queen has visited the home of one of Scotland's historic army units.
She met soldiers at the headquarters of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, the 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, at Stirling Castle.
Amid tight security the Queen attended a service in the castle's Chapel Royal, built in 1594, and a tour of the Argyll & Sutherland museum.
She began her annual stay in Scotland last week, and opened the third session of the Scottish Parliament on Saturday.
Among those who chatted with the Queen during her Stirling visit was Private Neil McCallion, 22, who was injured in Afghanistan last year.
She also met 92-year-old former Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Brown, who told the Queen he was the oldest living Argyll.
Speaking after his meeting, Mr Brown said: "It was very nice to meet her.
"I had a wee blether with her but we didn't talk long.
