Scottish Water will invest �5.2m to refurbish treatment works

Waste water treatment facilities across the Falkirk area are to be given a �5.2m overhaul.
Scottish Water said the money would be spent upgrading their plant at Dalderse, which serves about 76,000 customers.
The utility company also plans to refurbish its Bonnybridge plant and improve watercourses, including the River Carron.
The work is expected to be completed in October this year.
The project will ensure the organisation meets strict environmental standards set out by the industry's environmental regulator, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa).
Chris Toop, regional manager, said: "The communities throughout the Falkirk area rely on these facilities to ensure that their waste water is processed and disposed of in a way that is efficient and environmentally friendly."
