Road death policeman buried
The officers died trying to stop a vehicle on the A42
The funeral of a police officer killed in a road collision took place on Friday.
PC Bryan Moore and his colleague PC Andrew Munn, 37, died when their patrol car was in collision with a van on the A42 near Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire on 15 August. Hundreds of police officers paid their last respects to PC Moore who was buried at Saint Botolph church, Shepshed, Leicestershire. PC Munn's funeral was held in Derbyshire on Thursday. Father-of-three PC Moore, 39, had been honoured for bravery several times during his 21 years with Leicestershire Constabulary. Leayon Dudley, of Acocks Green, Birmingham, has been charged with the murder of the two officers and is due to appear in Leicester Crown Court on 25 October. |
