Two die in road crash
Shropshire Ambulance Service attended the scene
Two women have died in a road crash near Whitchurch in Shropshire.
Three other people were hurt in the accident, which happened just before midnight on Monday. The pre-Christmas tragedy occurred on the A41 near Higher Heath, around four miles from Whitchurch. Police have given no details of the crash, but the Shropshire ambulance service has confirmed two women were certified dead at the scene. A 38-year-old man was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford with head and spinal injuries and a further two men suffered less serious injuries. It is the latest in a series of fatal accidents on Shropshire's roads, including two deaths on the A41 itself in recent months.
