Leave Taking - the character of Enid
Description
This video is about the character Enid in Winsome Pinnock’s play, Leave Taking. Enid is a proud woman caught between two cultures. As a member of the Windrush Generation, who travelled from the Caribbean to the UK to live and work after World War Two, she is influenced by both her childhood in Jamaica and her life in England. The play sees Enid raising her two daughters in a life very different from her own childhood. This video explores key quotes, characteristics and themes relating to the character of Enid.
