    A cracking piece of work from Babar Azam brings England's innings to an end.

    Jofra Archer whacks a full toss to mid-off, sets off for a quick single, but Babar Azam swoops in and throws down the stumps at the keeper's end with Josh Tongue short of his ground.

    After all that, Pakistan need 388 to win.

    Well, I think we know how Jofra Archer's going to play this.

    He has a wild swipe at Muhammad Abbas which beats everyone, including the keeper, and races away for four. Rizwan is probably quite relieved to be asked to stand back, as a result.

    Josh Tongue, who achieved his highest Test score in the first innings, whacks back-to-back fours off Mohammad Ali, driving past point before thumping the next one down the ground.

    In the England dressing room, Jamie Smith has his gloves on ready to go.

    Josh Tongue takes a tumble as he's trapped on the foot by a well-directed yorker from Mohammad Ali.

    It's missing leg by a mile but still Babar Azam makes the most unconvincing signal for a review that you'll ever see.

    Muhammad Abbas has figures of 5-54 and still has a chance for 10 in the match, having taken four in England's first innings.

    He jogs down to fine leg and receives a standing ovation which is very wholesome - he's still beaming.

    Ah, that's a lovely moment! Muhammad Abbas finally has his five-wicket haul at Lord's.

    Another sharp take from Rizwan standing up to the stumps as Ollie Robinson gets a faint edge, and Abbas is absolutely thrilled. Pakistan are way behind in the game but they all share in his joy, sprinting in for hugs and high-fives.

    He's bowled beautifully in both innings.

    Looks like England are just planning to tire Pakistan out as much as possible, as just one is taken off Mohammad Ali's next over with Jofra Archer playing watchfully.

    Top, top knock from Dan Lawrence in these challenging conditions. Lawrence continues his excellent form this summer at the back of his good run for Surrey in the Country Championship.

    In all first-class matches this year, he has scored 910 runs in 16 innings at an average of 60.7 with five hundreds & two fifties. His 60.7 average in 2026 so far is his best in a calendar year in first-class matches since his debut in 2015.

  13. This game at Lord's wasn't the only one impacted by the weather yesterday. I'm sure many of you would've seen the situation between Durham and Gloucestershire, where play was called off for bad light when Durham needed just four runs to win.

    Yes, four.

    Anyway, it's taken them one minute and 45 seconds to wrap up the victory this morning as Matthew Potts hit a boundary in the first over.

    Dan Lawrence's fine knock comes to an end and it's another beauty from Muhammad Abbas.

    The perfect line and length and it nips off the seam to shoot between Lawrence's bat and pad - not much he could do about that.

    Abbas has his fourth wicket and another chance to get himself on the honours board.

    A squeal of anguish from Mohammad Ali as he attempts a short ball, but there's so little pace in the pitch that it sits up nicely for Ollie Robinson to pull for four.

    Muhammad Rizwan is up to the stumps to Abbas, having had a horrible time yesterday being struck on the face, hands, stomach, you name it.

    With all the talk of who is in the middle order. It’s finally great to have someone in Cox and Lawrence who appear to have the game to be able to put pressure on the likes of Bethall, Brook and Smith to produce. Rather than just an expectation to play.
