It's about belief and the fine details that make the difference at that level. We are getting better, improving the team, we have to learn and make the most of it."

We had a really tough week, Chelsea, Napoli, winning there and now against a really tough opponent in a difficult place. We had really good periods but didn't score and after that they can suffocate you especially when they decided to be really physical and very direct and we had to overcome a situation that in my opinion was absolutely unacceptable at this level. I'm very worried and very sad because this can never be a penalty ever.
"Are you surprised? Are you surprised? No. OK.
"It's a judo roll from the opponent. Ezri [Konsa] does nothing. Just watch it. We have a lot of cameras and VAR we have to take responsibility to protect the game. Today the game was unprotected and it could have cost us the game and the momentum which is a really, really serious thing.
"I loved the save from David [Raya] the way the team reacted, the way we go again and we go against everything, but this should never happen, it's not fair, and I am sad, very sad, in that sense.
"I'm making it very clear publicly because it's for the game, it's not only for Arsenal, this cannot happen at this level.
On David Raya's penalty save: "We should not talk about the save of the keeper, we should talk about what happened before that."
On Bruno Guimaraes' performance: "Beautiful, he came on, the goal, the assist, remarkable. That why we talk about the finishers and making that impact and being able to support and help the team. He was outstanding."

Especially on the time that he scored, coming to this place is so, so difficult. They make it very difficult, it was a big battle, very physical. We dealt with it very well, we defended well. We know how good they are in set pieces. At the end of the day, we got the three points, that's all that matters."
On saving the penalty: "It's a big moment, especially away from home. For the players and the team to have that faith and keep going and win the game, two minutes after we score. Even if we conceded a goal, we had the faith to get back in the game. It's important to keep the clean sheet because it helps us win games."

I think we went toe to toe with them and they are flying at the moment. We had the opportunity to score, I think it was deserved, [we] didn't score and thirty second after we conceded the goal. This is the level. I think they are relentless. When you don't seize your opportunities it's hard.
"The first half we were a bit reserved, respectful, knowing their threat and the way they play. The way they can damage your defence. So we were really well-organised, but we agreed at half-time it was important to show our quality with the ball. And that we did really well managing long balls at times and short balls when it was possible to play and we created chances.
"[David] Raya was one of the best players on the pitch today. It shows we are dangerous but not enough to score. We are really close. Winning is a process. They are at the top level right now. We were close this evening, it wasn't enough, but it was a good experience for us and our fans. We are getting better game after every game, it's hard to take but we need to go again.
"We have to believe and then it's a question of fine margins. Those fine margins are so hard to improve because it is the last percent and you need to work hard to get this one. We are in a good place. It's important to digest quickly because we have an impressive week ahead."

Arsenal are three points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Manchester City will draw level on 12 points if they beat United in the Manchester derby on Sunday (16:30 BST).
Igor Jesus' late winner earned Nottingham Forest their first victory at Aston Villa in 32 years and left the hosts still searching for a Premier League win.
The substitute stabbed in with two minutes left as Oliver Glasner's side took a deserved win, the head coach's first with Forest.
Liam Delap had earlier scored his first goal since January to open his Forest account after his £50m summer move from Chelsea.
Alysson levelled for Villa with their first Premier League goal of the season, but the hosts were second best for much of the game.
They could have opened the scoring when Victor Lindelof's strike deflected off Murillo for Sels to turn it on to the post, with Murillo clearing straight to Lindelof – whose instinctive effort was blocked by the goalkeeper.
Yet it was a rare opening with Villa boss Unai Emery taking off £65m record signing Nicolas Jackson at half-time before Forest bossed the second half until Alysson's leveller.
Emery has called for patience after Villa's summer rebuild, but that will be tested after Jesus' late winner.

This was another poor performance, and as much as Emery will talk about the turbulent summer and changes Aston Villa have experienced, they were disjointed and unable to match Nottingham Forest.
Record signing Jackson was replaced at the break by Tammy Abraham – a player Emery was willing to let leave Villa this summer – in a sign this new-look side have not found their way yet.
It is not a surprise in a sense, because the manager is methodical and the players must take on an incredible amount of detail, but more is still expected of them.
A 3-2 Champions League win at Club Brugge perhaps raised expectations, but there is still a lot of work to do.
What does Glasner have over Emery?
After eight games since Glasner arrived at Crystal Palace in February 2024, Emery is still winless against the Austrian.
Glasner's Palace won 3-0 at Villa Park at the start of last season, and while the scoreline was closer this time, again the visitors deserved their victory.
After the draws against Liverpool and Tottenham, Forest's Glasner is getting to grips with his squad and a first win of the campaign will breathe further confidence into the squad.

Aston Villa have won each of their last six Premier League home games against Nottingham Forest. The only side they have won seven in a row against at home in the competition are Derby County from 1996 to 2007.
