  1. Halifax sign Allen and Hillpublished at 18:51 BST 28 August

    Halifax have signed Derby County midfielder Cruz Allen on a one-month loan deal and also added former Buxton forward Deniche Hill to their squad.

    Allen, 19, played against the Shaymen for Derby's under-21s in the National League Cup earlier this month.

    Hill, 22, played under Halifax boss John McGrath last season in National League North.

    Both players have been named on the bench for the game against Altrincham on Friday.

    The club have not disclosed the length of deal that Hill has signed.

  2. Halifax bring in full-back Contepublished at 16:50 BST 6 August

    Halifax have signed full-back Raheem Conte.

    The 23-year-old was a free agent after leaving Morecambe at the end of last season after making 17 league appearances.

    The former Cardiff City man could make his debut for the Shaymen in Saturday's National League season-opener at Forest Green Rovers.

    Halifax have not disclosed the length of contract he has signed.

    Barrow have signed centre-back Thierry Latty-Fairweather following his release by FC Halifax.

    The 6ft 3in (1.9m) defender has league experience with Burton Albion but has spent recent seasons in the National League with York City and Maidenhead United as well as the Shaymen.

  4. Harrogate sign Halifax midfielder Hmamipublished at 19:02 BST 4 August

    Harrogate Town have signed Halifax Town midfielder Josh Hmami for an undisclosed fee.

    The 26-year-old scored 12 goals in 42 National League appearances for the Shaymen last season after joining from King's Lynn Town.

    He could make his debut for the Sulpherites at home to Solihull Moors in their National League opener on Saturday.

    "He's an ambitious lad and fits the profile we are looking for in that position, we hope he can bring goals like he did last season," head of player recruitment Lloyd Kerry told the club website., external

    Harrogate have not confirmed the length of Hmami's contract.

  5. Halifax sign defenders Bardell and Flintpublished at 16:39 BST 28 July

    FC Halifax Town have signed former Buxton defender Max Bardell and Doncaster Rovers defender Will Flint on two-year deals.

    Bardell, 23, who spent time in the academies of Manchester City and Huddersfield, made 40 National League North appearances in 2025-26.

    Flint, 20, had a loan spell in the National League with Gateshead in the first half of last season before also ending it with the Bucks.

    Both players worked with Shaymen boss John McGrath during their time with Buxton.

    FC Halifax Town have signed Stoke City goalkeeper True Grant on a season-long loan.

    The 20-year-old came through Manchester City's academy and was part of the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2024.

    Grant previously worked with Shaymen boss John McGrath during a season-long loan spell with National League North side Buxton in 2024-25, before joining the Potters last summer.

    He is the son of former Derby County and Stoke City goalkeeper, and now Walsall boss, Lee Grant.

    Halifax finished eighth in the National League last season.

    Halifax Town have signed teenage attacking midfielder Arian Allen on loan from Stockport County.

    Allen, 18, made four appearances last season for Stockport - two in the EFL Cup and two in the EFL Trophy - and has dropped down to the National League side from League One County to gain some valuable playing time.

    He started out at Everton's academy aged 10 and spent six years there before moving up to Scotland to join Rangers' academy.

    Allen, who is under contract at Stockport until 2027, made the move to Edgeley Park in February last year and his only start for County came against Wolves Under-21s in the EFL Trophy in September.

    Halifax Town have signed forward Amari Morgan-Smith on a one-year contract.

    Morgan-Smith, 37, has just ended a five-year spell with Kidderminster Harriers where he scored more than 50 goals and won two promotions.

    Halifax Town have signed striker Conor Carty from League of Ireland Premier Division side Waterford.

    The 24-year-old, formerly part of the Wolves academy, was previously on the books of Bolton Wanderers and scored on his only appearance for them in the EFL Trophy against Tranmere Rovers in 2022.

    A former Republic of Ireland under-21 international, he has also played in Uefa Conference League matches with St Patrick's Athletic, scoring a penalty against Besiktas in August 2025.

    Carty's loan spells have included time at Oldham Athletic, Gateshead and Doncaster Rovers.

    FC Halifax Town have signed former Blackburn Rovers and Grimsby Town winger Zak Gilsenan.

    The 23-year-old came through the youth set-ups at Barcelona and Liverpool before he made his senior debut with Rovers.

    He made a total of five appearances for Blackburn before last year joining Grimsby, where he made another five appearances before his release earlier this summer.

    Gilsenan has experience of the National League having played on loan at Gateshead last season.

  11. Shaymen snap up midfielder Trustypublished at 20:52 BST 1 July

    FC Halifax Town have signed midfielder Tayt Trusty from Isthmian League Premier Division side Eastbourne Borough.

    Trusty, 22, began his career at Blackpool and moved to Eastbourne last year after a spell at Maidstone United.

    His career has also included stints on loan at Hartlepool, Hyde United and Radcliffe.

    During his time at Blackpool, Trusty was called up to the Cyprus Under-21 squad.

    Halifax Town have signed winger Connor Douglas from Leeds United.

    The 20-year-old did not make an appearance for the Whites' senior side but did play for their under-21s in the EFL Trophy.

    He ended last season on loan at National League North side Buxton, where he worked under new Shaymen boss John McGrath.

    Halifax have not disclosed the length of Douglas' deal.

    Halifax Town have signed centre-back Mackenzie Maltby from Sheffield Wednesday.

    The former Wednesday Under-18 captain made his debut for the Owls last season, after spending part of the 2024-25 season at Scarborough Athletic in National League North, where he was named the club's young player of the year.
