Roy Coyle's Newry have only one home win in the league
|
Newry City manager Roy Coyle has admitted results have to improve after Friday night's latest 3-2 setback at home to Dungannon Swifts.
City led twice but still stumbled to a fifth successive league defeat on their own Showgrounds pitch.
"We were desperate to get a result as we had only won once at home in the league this season," said Coyle.
"We are all accountable and have to lift our heads because things must be turned around quickly."
The City supremo stressed his players would have to work hard to get out of the slump.
"I have found that, in general, you do not get things easy in this game," he said.
"It is all about how you react to adversity.
"Defensive mistakes have cost us dearly this season and that is something we are working on as well as the scoring side."
