China dominate in Busan
China's Qi Hui won the women's 200m breaststroke
Qi Hui of China won the women's 200m breaststroke
China continued their domination of the Asian Games on Thursday by moving to 58 gold medals, with three won in the pool.

World record holder Qi Hui was the star attraction, beating team-mate Luo Xuejuan in the 200m breaststroke for her second gold medal.

And Chen Zuo came from behind to win the men's 100m freestyle in 50.76s ahead of countryman Liu Yu.

Japan also took three swimming golds but trail China 13-9 in the pool, and are second in the overall table on 20 golds.

China also made it to the quarter-finals of the soccer tournament along with host nation South Korea and Thailand.

South Korea and Thailand will play the best two runners-up in the quarter-finals, while China are likely to face Japan.

Among the other highlights for China on a day when they won 36 gold medals was a world record in women's weightlifting.

Liu Xia lifted 135.5kg in the 63kg women's clean and jerk to surpass Ukrainian Nataliya Skakun's record of 135kg.

Interest for the home crowd centred on contests between South and North Korea, with the North's women upsetting the South 3-1 in softball, while the South beat the North 101-85 in basketball.

Judo

The final day of judo at the Games saw Japan's Kayo Kitada win gold in the women's 48kg final, bringing to seven the number of titles for the Japanese judo team.

The men's open gold went to Japan's Kosei Inoue, who edged Abdullo Tangriev of Uzbekistan.

And Iran got its first gold in Busan with judoka Hajlakhondzadeh Masoud winning the men's 60kg title.

Veteran South Korean Kim Soo-kyung won the women's singles gold as the bowling got under way, with 1,362 after six rounds.

And Hong Kong got a first the gold medal by taking the snooker team title ahead of China and Pakistan.
