A new phase of a long-running military operation is under way in the Democratic Republic of Congo to try to defeat one of the most notorious rebel Hutu militia groups, blamed for raping, robbing and killing thousands of civilians. The FDLR crossed into DR Congo's thick forests after taking part in the genocide in Rwanda in 1994. But as our correspondent Mike Thomson reports from near the eastern town of Rutshuru, there are claims that the new push to defeat the rebels has made the plight of local people even worse.
