The family of a 17-year-old who died on a school trip to the forests of Ecuador is to be presented with a posthumous Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
Aaron Goss, of Rushden, Northamptonshire, died in Tena on 26 July while swimming with other pupils from Wollaston School.
He was on an expedition as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
His family will receive the award from Prince Phillip during a private meeting at St James's Palace in London.
The inquest into Aaron's death was opened and adjourned in September.
In August, more than 300 people attended a memorial service at St Mary's Parish Church, in Rushden, to celebrate his life.
His brother Alexander Goss, 21, said Aaron "always had a smile on his face".
