I love the sea. Despite the tsunami and the deaths of my father and brother, I haven't rejected it.

I was born in Unawatuna and I will always live here. It's the sand, the sound of the waves. It's what I love.

When I see children here I remember how we played on the beach as a child, my father teaching us snorkelling.
