Gerda Teague, who has lived near the base for 50 years and whose husband used to work for the RAF: "This is wonderful news for the village. My son-in-law used to work at Dara but had to move away to Bristol. Hopefully, he'll be able to work close to home. I've been feeling ill for a week, this is the best news, it's made me feel better."
