Gordon Williams, 27, a theatre worker from Glasgow, said: "Whenever people go on Big Brother the first thing they start to miss is music.

"It's an important part of our cultural lives. It can also be a way of getting things out your system or a way to relax.

"If I don't have music on when I work it feels a very empty place."
