A campaign to curb drink-fuelled violence over the summer is being launched in south Cumbria.
The South Lakeland and Barrow crime and disorder reduction partnership intends to crack down on under-age drinking, binge drinking and violence.
The campaign will specifically warn football fans not to get carried away while watching the World Cup.
Cumbria Police will be carrying out more checks on licence premises during the drive from 31 May to 28 August.
Andy Shine, chair of the partnership, said: "The importance of sensible drinking over the summer months and during the World Cup cannot be over-estimated.
