Calls to reduce number of homes
Devon and Cornwall Police has added its voice to calls for a reduction in the number of children's homes in Devon.

There are 30 homes in south Devon including 17 in Newton Abbot. Young people come from other parts of the country and some get involved in crime.

Last month two residents of a Torquay home, which is now closed, were convicted of raping a 13-year-old girl.

Adrian Sanders, the MP for Torbay is to meet the Children's Minister to highlight the concerns.
