Plans to be revealed for new town

Most of the homes could be built in the valley by 2016

A master plan for 5,500 homes in a new town on the outskirts of Plymouth will be unveiled on Thursday.
South Hams District Council will reveal its latest scheme for the Sherford Valley before launching a six-week public consultation on Friday.
The plans currently envisage a community just south of the A38 at Deep Lane, but extending south to the outskirts of Elburton.
An application for outline planning permission is expected in September.
