The walls of Wareham are popular with summer visitors

Work will begin this week on restoring the ancient Saxon walls surrounding Wareham in Dorset.
The earth banks, which were built as a defence for the town in the 7th century, are considered a monument of national importance.
Contractors will remove trees and vegetation which are damaging the ancient walls. The project is expected to take about a month to complete.
The council said the work was essential to protect the town's "rich history".
