Sheep to help protect oak trees
Sheep are to be introduced to woodland in one part of Lincolnshire to help manage the number of birch trees that are growing there.

Conservationists fear the new saplings could swamp ancient oak trees at the Woodland Trust owned Owlet Wood, near Gainsborough.

Highland Sheep are being brought in to maintain the wood as they like to feed on the young trees.

They are due to arrive at the woodland next month.
