The number of officers investigating the disappearance of York chef Claudia Lawrence is to be reviewed next week, police have said.
News of the move comes eight months to the day since Ms Lawrence disappeared.
Thirty officers and staff are currently involved in the search for the 35-year-old, who was last seen on 18 March.
Shortly after she vanished more than 100 officers and staff were involved in the case, which has cost £558,000 so far, North Yorkshire Police said.
'Other demands'
Detectives are treating her disappearance as suspected murder.
A force spokesman said: "There are around 30 officers and staff still involved with the case.
"However, a review will be held next week in relation to current officers dedicated to the investigation."
He said the entire Claudia Lawrence investigation, from main lines of inquiry to resources and budgets, was the subject of regular review.
Mr Lawrence hopes the person behind the Facebook message can be found
"This is to ensure that it is being run efficiently and effectively within the context of the other policing demands across North Yorkshire," he added.
Meanwhile, Ms Lawrence's father has urged police to trace the person behind a hoax message left on a social networking website.
The Facebook message, which was posted on 9 November, read: "Hi everyone just let you be aware that I am ok and I am safe and sound. Speak to you all soon. Claudia xxx"
It has since been taken down by the page's administrator.
