The Spa should be open by next Easter
Plans to allow the residents of Bath to visit the controversial Spa project have been unveiled.

Following pressure from local Liberal Democrat MP, Don Foster, a series of open days are to be held.

Initially, invitations will be sent by Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Council to those who have contributed financially to the scheme.

Details will be announced at a later date on how other residents can book a site visit.

'Fantastic building'

Councillor Nicole O'Flaherty said: "This is a wonderful opportunity to show our dedicated residents and thank them for their continued support, that is why the first four tours will be prioritised for them.

"At the moment, it is a building site and visitors will have to wear hard hats and safety jackets.

"Now that the council is in charge of the site, I really want people to see for themselves how fantastic this building really is."

Because work is in progress, it may not be possible for visitors to see the whole site for health and safety reasons.

There will also be an exhibition in the foyer, showing the history of the construction of the building, with photographs showing the stages of the project's development. The spa is due to be opened next Easter.
