Floating hotel to create 25 jobs

Plans for a 114-bedroom hotel at a Teesside marina which would create 25 jobs have been unveiled.

Premier Inn wants to extend its existing hotel on to the water at Hartlepool Marina, complete with leisure facilities and a restaurant.

If the hotel gets planning permission from Hartlepool Council, work will begin in the spring of 2009.

It is hoped the hotel will be completed and open for business by early 2010 in time for the Tall Ships Race in August.
