Christmas Parade

Twelve floats from the 2007 Battle of Flowers dressed up for Christmas and paraded around Liberation Square.

Christmas Parade

Back again after a fantastic parade in 2006, the third Jersey Tourism Battle of Flowers Christmas parade was bigger and better than ever before.

The parade started a little late, at around 7.30 but, despite a few moans and groans about the cold - the crowd seemed to love every minute of the festive filled celebration of light and music.

The floats came down from West Park, went around Liberation Square and then up the Esplanade and back towards West Park again.

As well as the floats themselves, all full of Father Christmases, decorations, lights and music - there was music from A cappella Brass and festive food and drink in Liberation Square itself.

Lovely descriptions of the Christmas floats but not enough photos!!Also a mention please for the little lady we went to see - beautiful Rachel Hermitage, Miss Junior Battle.

S. Higginson
Could we have some pictures of the floats themselves as well please? Also, what about the "ice" people on stilts who did a great job of amusing the crowds?
