Bournemouth boss Marco Rose, speaking to Uefa: "I feel really good. I'm proud of the club, happy for the fans and proud of the lads. It was a great evening, a great result and a brilliant performance in every aspect. We were really sharp in everything, played our game and, it's a deserved win.

"The way we got into the game, the effort, the attitude, the way we won balls and put pressure on Milan was great. We created chances, scored an early goal and kept the pressure high. This was Bournemouth, and this is what we wanted to show."

  3. 'Not a great performance'published at 22:42 BST

    FT: Bournemouth 3-0 AC Milan

AC Milan boss Ruben Amorim, speaking to Uefa: "It was not a great performance, because the game was over after 20 minutes.

"We defended quite well with 10 men and tried to push the game forward and take a risk near the end, but then the free-kick completely killed the game.

"Now we must recover and think about the next one. We have to take lessons from this, and we cannot put ourselves in that position [after the red card] again. Now we must focus on the league and then try to win the next Europa match [vs Ferencváros] like we do in every game."

Crystal Palace boss Pierre Sage speaking to TNT Sports: "[I am happy] with the performance now, with the result we deserve better.

"We have to remember the situation before the game, the performance was worse on Sunday, we made a good step and now to go forward and win against Newcastle on Sunday.

On Jean-Philippe Mateta's goal: "I am really happy for him. It’s a good moment for him, just before coming out, he was not really ready to play, you could then see he was tired but when you have this mindset and give your life on the pitch it is good for you.

"We have a lot of satisfaction in individual performances and I have to underline the team performance, too.

"At the end, we made a good game without the result we deserved."

  6. 'The thing I love about our team is the intensity we have'published at 22:29 BST

    FT: Bournemouth 3-0 AC Milan

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth winger Justin Kluivert speaking to TNT Sport: "It means a lot. we come from two victories which gave us a good feeling going into this game. We just trusted in ourselves, it doesn't matter who we play against we just trust in ourselves. We know what we are capable of and I think we showed that tonight."

On playing AC Milan: "AC Milan have a lot of history, it's a big club, and it's beautiful because what I didn't know before is that we have comparisons, the colours we have red and black, comes from AC Milan."

On things finally clicking: "We know this run we have now, three wins, no goals conceded is something that I'm proud of, and we need to continue. We know how to continue we have done it before. We have a full squad now nearly fit, we have other guys coming back, so that competition makes it better. The thing I love about our team is the intensity we have, it doesn't matter who's in the starting 11, our intensity shows who we are and what we stand for, let's go full gas."

On scoring the first penalty but not taking the second: "I think scored three one time in a game, but you got to be generous. I got to give my team-mates also the good feeling, and they also deserve to score penalty, because I also know they can score. We are a team, and not individuals."

  8. 'Special night for the club but it becomes a lot more special if you go and win'published at 22:22 BST

    FT: Bournemouth 3-0 AC Milan

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Christie speaking to TNT Sports: "What a night. The boys spoke about it before the game, listen it's a special night for the club but it becomes a lot more special if you go and win the game. Amazing, it's been such an experience playing in Europe, the fans have been amazing, the whole infrastructure the club have brought, in terms of the whole atmosphere coming into tonight and last week as well. It's incredible. It's a run of good results now, we need to keep going."

On what it means to the fans: "It's mega. In terms of the story of the club it's ridiculous. Someone told me today, 15 years ago today we were 17th in League One I think so it's pretty incredible. So many of these fans have been here for this journey so to have nights like this and win as well is special."

On momentum: "Now that we've got that bit of momentum. I think it's crucial when you've got so many games one after the other you just try and roll into the next one and keep the positivity. With the amount of games we've got, the gaffer has to use everyone in the squad and to be fair everyone has shown they can be called upon, the boys that came in tonight. Incredible tonight to come in and perform like that against a top team. Positivity going into the weekend.

I think he will be absolutely delighted with the performance. It's been excellent. They got thrashed by Brighton and have come out and played excellent in both sides of the game. The subs have had an impact, and I think they deserve to win this game.

I think he will be disappointed with [the result], but he will also be delighted in many, many ways.

An amazing night. From the first minute they showed the intent, on the front foot closing down. Had that big chance from Kluivert, then Evanilson with the header leading to the penalty.

Two penalties, deservedly so and the sending off. Good second half, three goals. What a brilliant, brilliant night.

I really hope this is reported as an epic victory for Bournemouth, rather than a humiliating defeat for Milan. Too often, wins for so called 'lesser' teams don't get the credit they deserve, in public debate or the media, but Bournemouth have totally destroyed one of European football's giants tonight!

  13. 'Very impressive performance'published at 22:06 BST

    FT: Besiktas 2-2 Crystal Palace

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

I thought they deserved to win the game. The stats at half-time weren't really truthful in many ways, They created four chances, and could have easily have gone in 2-0 up.

What I was impressed with was that in the second half they came out and maintained that even though Besiktas came back at them. [Crystal Palace] kept foraging forward, kept the ball, kept closing the ball down. Very impressive performance, it's something they can hold onto, and move forward with.

It was another poor night for Ruben Amorim and AC Milan.

They've suffered defeat in two of their three Europa League games now, failing to score in both. They didn't even have a shot on target today.

They lost captain Mike Maignan to a red card too and he won't be available for their next match against Ferencvaros, who are three from three so far.

There were many at Milan who were not happy with just how much many of the Bournemouth players were celebrating victory.

A reaction came from some staff members of the Italian club towards several players, with Adam Smith among those caught in the fracas.

It looks like many of those at Milan have not taken this defeat well, with Cherries manager Marco Rose having also argued with members of Ruben Amorim's staff.

Bournemouth sit third in the Europa League table and are one of just five teams with a perfect three from three record.

They sit behind Benfica and Bayer Leverkusen.
