When Celtic got their goal, Celta upped the ante and Celtic didn't have an answer.
It should have been the other way round. Celtic should have been trying to get a second goal.

Here's more from Celtic boss Martin O'Neill at his post-match media conference...
On his biggest frustration: "Tonight is disappointing because I thought we could win the game. It was a tight match throughout. Before the game I thought we could win."
On his team struggling to deal with adversity: "I'm not sure about that and I'll have to really look at that again. [Conceding] was a blow to us because we were doing fine in the game. It's the small margins."
On Celtic being competitive enough in Europe: "If by the end of proceedings depending on amount of points we may or may not get, that is certainly up for debate."

Camilo Duran and Kasper Hogh scored goals in the Champions League last season, so they're more than capable.
They go ahead tonight and all you need to do is weather a bit of a storm.
Celta Vigo deserved to win the game. That's the problem for Celtic this season in Europe - the games they have lost, they have deserved to lose.

Hibs away on Sunday at 12:00 BST.
There's every chance they respond emphatically against a struggling Leith side, but what will that mean for their European campaign?
Nothing, it seems.

I don't think Celtic are good enough, individually and collectively, to take on a team that's eighth in La Liga.
They moved the ball really well and Celtic couldn't get close to them.
They are not good enough at this level. Celtic are paying big money for some players because the fans are demanding it and then they come in and aren't good enough.
Even Camilo Duran, is he good enough at this level?

It seems as though Celtic struggle when there's a bit of adversity.
If something goes against them, the confidence drops, their heads drop, they stop playing forward.
The ball goes back and across, inviting pressure, and there's no way they take the pressure off. That has been a theme.

TNT Sports' coverage has just ticked off and the channel is now showing highlights of Celtic's Champions League victory over Juventus in 2001, during Martin O'Neill's first reign.
How things have changed.
FT: Celtic 1-2 Celta Vigo
Celtic boss Martin O'Neill tells TNT Sports: "We conceded a free-kick and I thought a second before that we should have had a foul for us. They score from the free-kick and it knocks us a little bit. It gave them a bit of momentum.
"I think if [Liam] Scales' header goes in to make it 2-0, we get the three points. We've lost three matches now, remarkably we're still in with a chance [of progressing]. We've got to win here and got to win away from home.
"We take the lead in the game, if we get the second goal we win the match and it changes the whole dynamic.
"It didn't happen, that's it - we need to try to find a way to win European games."

Flat-track bullies? Flat-pack furniture more like. Difficult to build up and they collapse too easily.
Liam
We’re such a weak side in the middle of the park. I hate to say it, but McGregor is way off it at this level.
David
The club have got big-fish-in-small-pond syndrome. After years of little meaningless victories and getting one over on our rivals, the mismanagement - on every single level - has caught up to us. Fading into obscurity.
James
So weak all over the park. We can’t win a tackle, lose every first and second ball. Losing for 20 minutes at home and did we even force a save from the keeper? Very, very poor team.

It's yet another reminder that domestic form is a very poor indicator when it comes to Europe.
I go back to the line Chris Sutton used and I agree with him - flat-track bullies.
Their relevance in Europe is fading into nothing. It's embarrassing for Celtic.

It says something about Celtic's set-up that Liam Scales (121) had by far the most touches for the hosts.
Kieran Tierney (79) and Sam Johnstone (69) were second and third, respectively.

Celtic midfielder Mika Baur tells TNT Sports: "How we played second half, last 30 minutes, we deserved it in the end.
When asked if he knew why his team collapsed in such a manner, he responded: "I cannot tell you, sorry.
"It can happen that you get a goal, they can score too, good team - you should then get control back, hold the ball a bit longer to take the momentum away from them. You should break that."
When asked if he feels if it's possible for Celtic to progress, he adds: "What else should we do? Absolutely. We need points. That's it."

Celtic have now lost their past four European matches, conceding 14 goals across them.
According to Opta, they had only lost four in a row within a single season in Europe once before, doing so in the 2017-18 Champions League.
They've matched that unwanted record tonight.

That Celta were worth their win.
More than double the amount of shots, more than double the amount of expected goals, and more than 56% of the ball.

The performances at this level haven't been good enough. Celtic are way short at this level.
