Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca, speaking to Amazon Prime: “I think we could've scored more goals, especially in the first half but overall I think we deserved to win the game. We created enough chances to win the game. We didn't concede a lot. It's normal to come here and concede some chances because it's normal, so overall happy with the performance.
"I think I am lucky because all the squad is good players, for a manager it is easy because you can give minutes to all of them, and tonight I think the guys that were inside were very good."
On Ayyoub Bouaddi's performance: "The good thing is that from Erling [Haaland], Ruben [Dias], Mateo [Kovacic] you expect how to manage this game but he was never in panic, Ayyoub Bouaddi. He was very good and I think the performance was unbelievable."

Erling Haaland, speaking to Amazon Prime: “It was a difficult fight, man against man. They are a top team, honestly they are impressive.
"They play amazing football so well done to them, but with all the pressure [on us] we had to deliver on the biggest stage. That’s what we did today.
“I think honestly we controlled the first half. A bit uncomfortable when they came a bit high, but we created a lot of chances. I could of easily of had a lot more goals, but second half we scored and they pushed us for a good 25 minutes, but again we managed to hold through and then finish the game.
“I think these are the games that we have to win, and we have had a great start to the season. In the Champions League you have to win games because if not you suddenly get all the pressure and then you never know what’s going to happen."
On 18-year-old Bouaddi making his debut: “I think he played a very good game. Last couple of weeks in training, I told the chairman that he has been amazing, so I think we have a gem here. But to be honest, I think he should of played me through in the second half when I was all alone. I was a bit angry, so I will tell him right now, he played a good game, except that pass."
On the pressure playing for Man City: “We have to demand a lot from each other, and we have to win games. At Man City you have to win games and you have to win trophies."
On if Meresca will be pleased: “I hope so. We win away with a difficult game. Look at this atmosphere it was unreal at times. I hope he’s happy.”

I thought his attitude was perfect from start to finish. He is special. If he stays fit, that's it, there's nothing else. If he stays fit he will break records like you wouldn't believe.
I liked his attitude that he didn't just take it easy when the game was won.

It was a historic night for Kylian Mbappe as his goal took him joint-fifth on the list of all-time Champions League and European Cup goalscorers with 71 goals in 99 games.
Only Karim Benzema (90), Robert Lewandowski (109), Lionel Messi (129) and Cristiano Ronaldo (140) have scored more.
Three-time Real Madrid Champions League winner Raul scored 71 times in 142 appearances.

He tired in the second half but before that he just looked as if he was playing a different game from everyone else because he developed so much time for himself.

For all Porto's efforts, particularly in the second half, Gianluigi Donnarumma did not have a single save to make throughout that match.
The Portuguese side failed to attempt a shot on target for the first time in a Champions League game since facing Juventus in February 2017.
City were sloppy at times, yes. But it's a big away win for Enzo Maresca's men to kick off their 2026-27 European campaign.

A first Champions League win for Enzo Maresca as Manchester City boss as Erling Haaland's double gets the job done.

Aston Villa breathed life into their season as they edged to a narrow Champions League victory over Club Brugge.
First-half goals from John McGinn, Emi Buendia and Nicolas Jackson earned the Premier League side a battling victory in Belgium.
Hugo Vetlesen had briefly hauled the hosts level after McGinn's opener, but Buendia and Jackson - with his first goal for the club - put Villa in charge.
Nicolo Tresoldi's 61st-minute penalty after Aaron Wan-Bissaka's handball left the visitors facing a nervy last 29 minutes during which Tresoldi hit the post.
But Villa held on for a result they will hope to use as a platform to build from after three successive league matches without scoring, as manager Unai Emery looks to integrate 10 new signings.
The Europa League winners have lost six of the starting XI from their triumphant night in Turkey, including £117m Morgan Rogers after his exit to Chelsea.
Emery has called for patience, knowing it will take time to rebuild.
And it was skipper McGinn - their longest-serving player - who energised their season, becoming Villa's record European scorer in the process with his 12th goal.

Zion Suzuki: One solid early save denied Jan Virgili but he could not stop Hugo Vetlesen's leveller and was sent the wrong way by Nicolo Tresoldi for Brugge's penalty. 6
Aaron Wan-Bissaka: A full debut for the right-back - in place of the injured Matty Cash. He could not stop the cross for Brugge's equaliser and conceded the second-half penalty. 5
Pau Torres: His run through the absent Brugge midfield set up John McGinn's opener, and he helped Villa ride out the pressure as the hosts chased a leveller. 7
Victor Lindelof: The defender has rarely let Villa down since his arrival on a free last summer, and was solid once again in Belgium. 7
Ian Maatsen: Booked early for dissent after failing to win a throw-in so had to walk a tightrope but did that well and held firm as Brugge pushed. 6
Joao Gomes: Returned for the first time since his opening-day red card and set up Emi Buendia to score. 6
Boubacar Kamara: The midfielder made more passes than any other Villa player and tried to keep things ticking in the centre while battling second-half Brugge pressure. 7
John McGinn: The captain scored Villa's first goal of the season with a fine strike and forced Yann Sommer into a save. He is now the club's highest scorer in Europe with 12. 8
Emi Buendia: Shot wide early but netted his first since scoring in the Europa League final in May and remains crucial to the Villa rebuild. 7
George Hemmings: The first teenager to start for Villa in Europe's elite competition since 1983 should have marked the occasion with an early goal. 6
Nicolas Jackson: The striker helped start the move for Buendia's goal and scored his first Villa goal after benefiting from Sommer's rush of blood. 7
