Scottish Green Co-convener Patrick Harvie launches his party's campaign
The Scottish Green Party has launched its European election campaign, with a focus on the creation of environmentally sound jobs.
Lead candidate Elaine Morrison said the strategy would help build an economy "fit for the 21st Century".
She promised to push for the creation of five million "green jobs" in areas like renewables across Europe, including thousands in Scotland.
If elected, Ms Morrison would be Scotland's first Green MEP.
She said: "As Scotland goes to the polls, we are facing financial collapse and runaway climate change. The economic system built by the other parties has failed us.
"We need to reclaim our economy from banks and big business, and create green jobs, building a new economy rooted in our communities."
The jobs would come from sectors such as renewable energy, public transport and insulation, she said.
