Conflict
Since 1990, conflict has directly killed as many as 3.6 million people. It is estimated that some 45% of those killed were children. Hundreds of thousands of children get caught up in war as refugees and child soldiers, or experience sexual violence and exploitation. And the explosive remnants of war kill and maim thousands each year.
