Islanders to have say over Battle
Jersey's Battle of Flowers
This year's event attracted a smaller crowd than usual
People in Jersey will be able to have a say how they want the island's Jersey Battle of Flowers to develop in future.

The group which organises the event is holding a public meeting on Thursday evening.

Although 2002's centenary battle attracted a large number of people, this year's event had a smaller crowd than usual.

It has prompted the event's organisers to think about how to encourage more people to come.

They are holding an open general public meeting to get the views of everybody interested in the future of the battle.

They want islanders to put forward any ideas they have on the way it should change.

The meeting is being held at the St Lawrence Parish Hall at 1930 BST.
