Surfers appeal for clean-up help
Volunteers are being asked to join kite surfers and local residents taking part in a major clean-up of Poole coastline.

Recent storms in the area have littered the beach with rubbish and debris.

Those taking part in the clean-up met at 1100 GMT on Sunday at the watersports academy close to the Sandbanks Hotel.

Organiser Gary Willingham, managing director at FC Watersports Academy, said the debris poses problems for kite surfers and other watersports.

Mr Willingham said: "It's mainly more of a hassle if you get your lines tangled if you're trying to launch a kite, if they are caught around an old branch.

"I suppose there is a slight danger element but it's more of an inconvenience really."
