Tories control South Shropshire

The Conservatives have taken control of South Shropshire District Council which had been in no overall control.

The Tories increased their number of seats by six, taking their total number to 18.

Their gain was at the expense of the Liberal Democrats and independents both of whom lost three seats each.

The Green Party held on to their one seat on the council. Labour does not have any representation. The whole council was up for re-election.
