Suzuki's Tom O'Kane: The front brakes are made from carbon. Both the pad and disc need to be very hot to work. The diameter of the disc depends on the circuit. On tracks with heavy braking the discs will be large as they will stay cooler, and on flowing circuits they will be small. If it's raining we replace the carbon with steel.
