Retreating parasite Dodder (Cuscuta epithymum) is an annual, rootless, twining and scrambling herb which lacks chlorophyll and is reddish in colour. This vulnerable plant is a parasite, attaching itself to its host by small "suckers". It is now largely confined to the south of a line from the River Thames to the River Severn. |
