Two motorcyclists seriously hurt in head-on crash

A motorcyclist has been left with life-threatening injuries and another has been seriously hurt after their two bikes crashed.

A Blue Yamaha MT-03 motorcycle and a black BMW S1000 were involved in a head-on collision in Stanham Way, near Cardea, Peterborough, at about 17:20 BST on Monday.

The rider of the Yamaha, a 19-year-old man from Peterborough, suffered serious, life-threatening injuries while the rider of the BMW, a man, 32, from London, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Both men were taken to Peterborough City Hospital where they remain.

Cambridgeshire Police has appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
