Death of man found seriously injured 'suspicious'

The death of a man whose body was found at a home in Birmingham is being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Long Street, Sparkbrook, at about 11:00 BST on Friday after a 22-year-old man was found with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Inquiries to establish the cause of his death were ongoing, said West Midlands Police, and a post-mortem would be carried out.

"Detectives are treating it as suspicious, and no arrests have been made at this time," added a spokesperson.
