Attempted murder arrest after gun fired at house

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a house was shot at in Sheffield.

The boy was arrested at an address on Wostenholm Road in Sharrow earlier and remains in custody, a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.

The arrest comes after a house on Fieldhead Road, just off London Road, was targeted shortly after midnight on 21 September.

Rakab Mohammed, 25, of Sharrow Lane, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent and possession with intent to distribute class A drugs in connection with the incident.

Three men, two aged 26 and one aged 27, have also been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, with a 30-year-old woman also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
