Teenage motorcyclist dies after head-on crash

A teenage motorcyclist involved in a head-on crash with another bike has died.

A Blue Yamaha MT-03 motorcycle and a black BMW S1000 collided on Stanham Way, near Cardea, Peterborough, at about 17:20 BST on Monday.

The rider of the Yamaha, a 19-year-old man from Peterborough, died in Peterborough City Hospital on Tuesday, police said.

The rider of the BMW, a 32-year-old man from London, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Cambridgeshire Police has appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
