Two men found guilty of child abduction

Two men have been found guilty of abducting a child, with one of them also found guilty of sexual assault.

Birmingham Crown Court delivered verdicts on Sadak Ali, 27, of Foxton Road, Birmingham, and Hamza Sharif, 35, of St Margaret's Road, Birmingham, on Friday after a 10-day trial.

Ali and Sharif were convicted of detaining a child after keeping them under unlawful control and, in addition, Ali was convicted of assault by touching a child under the age of 13.

A third man, Jake Green, 23, also of St Margaret's Road, Birmingham, was found not guilty of detaining a child after keeping them under unlawful control.

Ali and Sharif are due to be sentenced on 15 October.
