Man dies after getting into difficulty in sea

A man has died after getting into difficulty in the sea in Guernsey, police have said.

Guernsey Police said emergency services responded to reports of a person shouting for help in the water at Havelet Bay on Monday evening.

The force said 40-year-old Razibul Hasan was given CPR but he died at the scene.

"Officers have been closely liaising with Hasan's family since this incident, and we would like to express our condolences with them at this difficult and tragic time," the force said.
