Man charged after drugs worth more than £200,000 seized in vehicle stop

A man has been arrested and charged after police seized drugs worth more than £200,000 in Perth.

Officers recovered the cocaine during a vehicle stop on Lamberkine Drive at about 20:00 on Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court later.

Det Insp Gary Lamb said: "This significant recovery means thousands of pounds of drugs will be kept off our streets and those involved in their supply have been impacted.

"If you are involved in drug supply, we will use every tactic at our disposal to stop you from causing misery in our communities."

Lamb also urged anyone with information to contact the force.
