Six fire engines were sent to the scene of the blaze in Bodycomb Street at Castle Hill in Ebbsfleet at about 22:45 BST on Friday, Kent Fire and Rescue (KFRS) said.
Two people suffered serious burns, and six were believed to have been affected by smoke inhalation, KFRS said. South East Coast Ambulance Service said five were taken to hospitals in Dartford and London.
Darford MP Jim Dickson said he was "really concerned" about the fire and has offered support to those affected.
Dickson said: "I understand multiple individuals were harmed and have been taken to hospital.
"I am very sorry to hear this and wish everyone as fast a recovery as possible and send strength to family and friends of those affected.
"My inbox is open for anyone who needs support."
Due to smoke and water affecting other areas of the building, residents were also evacuated and a rest centre was set up.
The fire service left the scene at about 09:00 GMT and said an investigation into the cause was under way.
