Train delays after car crashes into level crossing

Trains in Worcestershire are facing delays after a car crashed into a level crossing barrier, according to West Midlands Railway (WMR).

The incident happened at a crossing at Stocks Lane, Leigh Sinton - between Worcester Foregate Street and Great Malvern - at 10:30 BST on Tuesday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said a woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Her injuries are not thought to be serious. As a result of the crash, all trains will start or terminate at either Worcester Foregate Street or Shrub Hill.

WMR said road transport had been requested to operate between Worcester and Hereford.
