Watch: Fisherman captures dolphins chasing boat

"The fact that they come to check you out is always humbling," says a fisherman who was followed by a pod of dolphins.

Ed Blake, a fisherman and Isle of Wight councillor, said he filmed the group of about 20 dolphins, which included three calves, on Monday after they started swimming alongside his boat between St Catherine's Point and Ventnor.

Dolphins are frequent visitors to the waters around the island but Ed said this was the first time he had seen the bottlenoses since the previous summer.

He said it was "always very special" to see the animals interacting because it showed the trust they had in humans.
