Trial date set in caravan park murder case
Family handout/Northamptonshire PoliceA trial date has been set for a man accused of murdering a woman who was found inside a caravan.
Northamptonshire Police was called to Overstone Lakes in Sywell at about 06:20 BST on Monday, 24 August following reports of an assault.
Susan Lumsden, 62, who was described as being "caring and incredibly kind", was found inside a caravan at the holiday park on Ecton Lane.
Nigel Brian Lewis, 72, of Cherrytree Walk on the caravan park, appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Tuesday and was remanded into custody. A plea hearing is due on 23 October with a trial date at the same court scheduled for 1 February.
