Woman arrested as man seriously hurt in dog attack
GoogleA woman has been arrested after a man was left with serious injuries after being attacked by a dog, police say.
The 44-year-old victim was taken to hospital while a woman, 53, was arrested on suspicion of owning a dangerously out of control dog.
Sussex Police said it was called to Langney Pond, in Sandpiper Walk in Eastbourne, at about 15:10 BST on Monday.
The force said the animal, believed to be a bull terrier and Doberman cross, had been seized and that the victim and the woman knew each other.
A school and nursery were secured while officers and paramedics responded.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
