Library evacuated after threats, police say

A library has been evacuated after threats a device had been placed at the site, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called at about 11:50 BST to Churston Library in Paignton, Devon, following the threats.

The premises was evacuated and a cordon was put in place as officers carry out inquiries, the force said.

"We are treating the matter seriously while investigations continue to ensure the safety of the public," officers said.
