Foyle Pride attracts thousands to Londonderry

Now in its 33rd year, Foyle Pride is described by organisers as a celebration of diversity and inclusiveness.

A new not-for-profit community interest company (CIC) has taken over running of the four-day event.

The action will mark the first ever hospitality strike in the North West, according to the union.

International singers including Ariana Grande and Nelly Furtado have performed at Manchester Pride.

The parade was dropped from last year's event due to funding pressures, organisers say.

The event celebrates its 10th anniversary with a parade through Margate.

Organisers say the event, now in its fourth year, will be the "biggest and boldest" yet.

If successful, the festival would coincide with the 60th anniversary of London's first Pride march.
