The extraordinary journey to Everest Base Camp by handcycle

The Travel Show follows adaptive athlete Ollie Thorn as he attempts to become the first person to reach Everest Base Camp North by handcycle. Paralysed from the chest down after a motorbike accident in 2012, Ollie sets out on an extraordinary journey through the Himalayas, pushing himself beyond 5,000 metres. Facing steep climbs, extreme altitude and physical exhaustion, the challenge proves far tougher than for those cycling with their legs. It is an emotional and demanding test of endurance as Ollie pursues his most ambitious goal yet.
