A shopping, cinema and leisure activities centre that was forced to close for nearly two weeks has reopened.

The Buttermarket in Ipswich shut its doors on 21 September after the "failure" of a tempered glass panel in the north mall.

In a post on social media on Friday, the business said it was reopening at 15:00 BST. The centre includes restaurants, shops, an Omniplex cinema and a bowling alley/games arcade.

It said: "We would like to thank our tenants, customers, staff and visitors for their patience and understanding during the temporary closure."

It is the second time in less than a month the centre has had to close, after a water main burst in August.
